About Plainify
Hey, I'm Halil, a product designer based in Istanbul. Plainify is something I built because I kept running into the same problem.
The Thing That Kept Bothering Me
I started playing with AI coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Bolt, v0, and Lovable. They felt magical at first. But the more I used them, the more I noticed everything I built started looking the same. Same sidebar layout, same purple accent, same dashboard feel, no matter what I was trying to make. It wasn't the tools' fault. I was giving them vague prompts and expecting specific results.
So I Made a Spec Format, Then a Tool
What I needed was a spec. Not a prompt, but a real structured document telling the AI what I actually wanted. So I made one and called it PLAIN (Product Language for AI Notation), an open-source markdown format you can hand to any AI coding tool. Then I built Plainify, a web app that walks you through writing a PLAIN spec section by section and gives you back a ready-to-use file plus a Claude Code bundle.
A Few Things I Care About
Plainify is free with no usage caps. I cover model costs through an API partnership with Anthropic. It runs entirely in your browser, no login, no server-side storage. Your ideas stay on your device. PLAIN itself is open-source, so you can fork it, use it without Plainify, or do whatever's useful with it.
Need Anything?
The fastest way to reach me is email — halil@plainify.app. I read every message and usually reply within a couple of days. If you'd rather follow along or send a quick note in public, I'm around in a few other places too.
