Last Updated: January 15, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how Plainify ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our service at plainify.app.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Product Specifications: The content you create using our form sections is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and is not transmitted to our servers unless you use the AI generation feature.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

We use Google Analytics 4 in Consent Mode (cookieless mode) to collect anonymous usage data:

  • Page views and navigation patterns
  • Button clicks and feature usage
  • Session duration and bounce rate
  • Browser type and device category
  • Approximate geographic region (country level)

Important: We do NOT collect:

  • Personal identifiers
  • IP addresses (anonymized before processing)
  • Cookies for tracking purposes
  • Cross-site tracking data

We do not use tracking cookies. Here's why you don't see a cookie consent banner on Plainify:

TechnologyWhat We UseCookies?

Data StoragelocalStorageNo - not a cookie
SessionBrowser memoryNo - no persistent tracking

What is Consent Mode?

Google Analytics 4 Consent Mode allows us to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data without setting cookies or storing personal identifiers. All consent signals are set to "denied" by default:

  • analytics_storage: denied
  • ad_storage: denied
  • ad_user_data: denied
  • ad_personalization: denied

This means GA4 operates in a privacy-preserving mode that complies with GDPR and ePrivacy regulations without requiring explicit user consent.
